Jalandhar, May 19, 2025: On the last day of Periodic Tests, DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur, celebrated a refreshing and vibrant No Bag Day, transforming the school into a buzzing center of creativity, skills, and mindfulness.

In alignment with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes experiential, skill-based, and holistic learning, the school observed a vibrant No Bag Day filled with joy, creativity, and hands-on activities.
The initiative was taken to provide students a break from the traditional classroom routine and engage them in hands-on learning and life skill activities.

Students from various classes participated enthusiastically in a wide range of activities:

Class XII students showcased their creativity in Paper Couture by designing and presenting newspaper dresses, turning waste paper into fashionable statements with confidence and flair.
Class XI explored the theme Trash to Treasure Best , creating useful items from discarded materials and promoting sustainability.

Class X displayed their practical skills through activities like Wheel Wizard where they learnt to Change the Stepney and Socket savvy demonstrated promoting self-reliance and real-world readiness.

Class IX expressed their gratitude crafting beautiful handmade thank you cards through Gratitude in bloom activity.
Class VIII participated in activities Sage and Shears learning about personal hygiene, skincare, and holistic grooming practices. The HTML House provided them the opportunity to design Web page.

Class VII exhibited their artistic flair by creating stunning handmade jewellery, showcasing traditional and modern designs using craft materials in Artisan loop Dazzle DIY.
Class VI enjoyed Zero Flame Bites, the art of flameless cooking, preparing nutritious and delicious dishes without the use of fire, encouraging safe and healthy food practices.

Lastly, a meditation session named Inner Haven was organized for all students, helping them reconnect with their inner calm, improve concentration, and develop emotional balance.

Principal Dr. Yogesh Gambhir appreciated the efforts of both students and teachers in making the day a grand success. He emphasized the importance of such days in promoting experiential learning, creativity, and mental well-being.
