Simranjit Singh Maan thoroughly exposed: CPI

Ludhiana, July 18, 2022: The Communist Part of India district Ludhiana has condemned in strong words the statement of Simranjit Singh Maan (MP) that Bhagat Singh was a terrorist. Maan should know that Bhagat Singh has in his writings and speeches denounced terrorism/ violence. He has said that the act of detonating bomb in the assembly was not to kill any-one but to arouse the nation. He has out-rightly denounced killings. He always supported mass movements to achieve the aims. Maan should clarify whether the Gadri Babas, Babbar Akali, Udham Singh and innumerable freedom fighters too were terrorists? Bhagat Singh always supported the ideology scientific socialism to uplift the down trodden and marginalized section of the society including peasants and workers.
 
Simranjit Singh Maan’s support to the act of his maternal Grand Father Aroor Singh of honoring Dyer with Siropa shows his mindset. History is witness to the cruelty to the extreme by the British government where large number of unarmed common citizens were shot dead at Jallianwala Bagh for no fault of theirs. Punjab’s contribution in the freedom struggle is unparalleled. That is why the terrorist violence could not last very long in Punjab and it failed to split the social harmony in the state.
