Ludhiana, April 2, 2026: International Para Table Tennis player Shubham Wadhwa from Ludhiana expressed heartfelt gratitude to the District administration and others for generous sponsorship, which played a crucial role in his recent success at the ITTF World Para Future Costa Brava 2026 held in Spain from March 26 to 29, 2026.
Wadhwa, a 10-time National Gold Medalist with 17 international medals to his credit, secured a Bronze Medal in Mixed Doubles at the prestigious event. He is currently ranked World No. 8 in mixed doubles and Asian No. 2.
“I am deeply thankful to the Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain, Dewaker Jain from Prime Steel Processor, Red Cross Society for their unwavering support. This encouragement gave me the confidence and resources to compete at the highest level in Spain" Wadhwa stated. He added that the support has strengthened his resolve ahead of major upcoming events, including the Asian Games and the World Championships in Thailand.
