Rahul Gandhi’s Sangrur ‘Insaaf Rally’ to Script Congress’ Roadmap to Victory in 2027 Punjab Polls: Dewan

Ludhiana, November 1, 2026: An urgent meeting was convened at Sarabha Nagar to chalk out preparations for the ‘Insaaf Rally’ scheduled to be held on November 4 at Phaguwala village in Sangrur under the leadership of Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi. The meeting was chaired by Pawan Dewan, former President of the District Congress Committee, Ludhiana (Urban) and former Chairman of the Punjab Large Industrial Development Board.
Addressing the gathering, Dewan said that Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Insaaf Rally’ would pave the way for a resounding victory of the Congress in the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections. He urged party leaders and workers to ensure massive participation in the rally, asserting that the people of Punjab are eagerly awaiting an opportunity to oust the “failed” Aam Aadmi Party government from power. He expressed confidence that the rally would serve as a decisive platform for galvanising public support in favour of the Congress across the state.
Expressing serious concern over the prevailing situation in Punjab, Dewan said the rampant drug menace was claiming innocent lives almost every day, while incidents of shootings and murders were being reported with alarming regularity. He alleged that the law and order situation in the state had deteriorated drastically and that the government had failed miserably in ensuring the safety and security of people's lives and property.
Dewan further stated that the people of Punjab were yearning for a change and were eager to bring the Congress party back to power. He asserted that Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Insaaf Rally’ at Sangrur would inject fresh energy, enthusiasm and momentum into the party cadre, while strengthening the Congress’ grassroots connect across the state.
Among others present at the meeting were Baljit Singh Ahuja, Varun Sharma, Hemant Mahajan, Vikram Mohan Singh, Kamal Pahwa, Jaswinder Singh Bagga, Rohit Pahwa, Advocate Sandeep Arora, Kulbir Singh Neeta, Rajnish Singla and Harbhagat Grewal.
