The actress has unveiled her own rendition of the film's much-loved song Narak, bringing a fresh emotional depth to the soulful track with her soothing voice.
Unlike the original version sung by B Praak and Jyotica Tangri, Shehnaaz's rendition is soft, intimate, and deeply moving, perfectly reflecting the emotions of her character, Naseema. Written and composed by Jaani, Narak beautifully captures the pain of love, separation, and longing.
Speaking about the song, Shehnaaz shared that she developed a deep emotional connection with Narak while portraying Naseema in the film. She said she tried to sing it in her own style with complete honesty, hoping listeners would feel the emotions she experienced while playing the character.
Set against the backdrop of the India-Pakistan border between 1981 and 1988, Ishqnama is slated for release on July 24, 2026. Before the film arrives in theatres, Shehnaaz's rendition of Narak offers audiences a touching glimpse into its emotional world.
