Sharda University Organizes Workshop on Atomic Spectroscopy Techniques

In a significant step towards advancing development, the Central Instrumentation Facility at Sharda University, located in Knowledge Park, Greater Noida, successfully organized a two-day practical workshop on Atomic Spectroscopy Techniques. The event saw enthusiastic participation from academicians and research institutions.

Aimed at enhancing research capabilities, the workshop welcomed undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral scholars, and faculty members from prominent institutions including Galgotias University, Amity University, ICAR-Indian Institute of Wheat and Barley Research (Karnal), and Sharda University. Participants actively engaged in training sessions that demonstrated the practical applications of atomic spectroscopy in fields such as food safety, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and chemical analysis.

Dr. Bhuvanesh Kumar, Dean of Research at the university, inaugurated the workshop with an address emphasizing the importance of hands-on training in hyphenated techniques to promote analytical excellence in alignment with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP).

Sharda University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sibarama Khara awarded certificates to all qualified participants and appreciated their commitment to scientific progress. Dr. Atul Kumar Gupta led the technical training sessions, providing expert guidance on instrumentation and analysis.

The inauguration ceremony was also graced by Dr. Santosh Kumar Mishra, Head of the Department of Life Sciences, and Dr. Anupam Agarwal, Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. This initiative marks a crucial step towards integrating theoretical knowledge with practical expertise, thereby strengthening Sharda University’s role as a center for interdisciplinary scientific training and innovation.
