Sharda inaugurates Abhivyakti - A Wellness Clinic

To address and advocate for the holistic well-being of students and recognizing the critical importance of mental health of students as well as staff, Sharda School of Humanities and Social Sciences inaugurates Abhivyakti-    A Wellness Clinic at Campus premises. The clinic was inaugurated by Dr Jayanthi Ranjan, Dean Academic Affairs, Sharda University and Dr. AK Gadpayle, Medical Superintendent, Sharda Hospital by jointly cutting the ribbon. The clinic is set to offer a range of services, including diagnostic assessments, individual and group counseling, and academic and career guidance. By focusing on both mental and emotional well-being, the clinic intends to create an environment where students and staff can thrive not just academically but also personally.

Dr Jayanthi Ranjan addressing the gathering said “ the clinic has the potential to bring about a paradigm shift in the campus’s overall atmosphere. With the increasing prevalence of mental health issues among students, she emphasized the crucial role that universities can play in addressing these concerns.”

Sharing his views, Prof. Parma Nand, Pro Vice Chancellor, Sharda University said “The inauguration of the Mental Well-being Clinic reaffirms our commitment to supporting our students not only academically but also emotionally and mentally. We want to ensure that every student knows they are not alone and that help is available. It was a call to action for the academic community to prioritize mental health as an integral part of their educational mission”.

During the program, Dr. AK Gadpayle, Medical Superintendent Sharda Hospital; Prof. Aarti Kaul Kachru, Dean School of Education; Prof. Dolly Wattal Dhar, Dean Agricultural Sciences; Dr. Ajit, Director Public Relations were also present.
