The 40-episode audio series, Shaktimaan Returns, marks the return of Mukesh Khanna himself as the voice of the legendary character, making this revival even more special. Blending nostalgia with a powerful environmental message, the series reimagines India’s first superhero for today’s generation.
This time, Shaktimaan’s battle isn’t against a conventional villain but against humanity’s own greed and exploitation of nature. His nemesis, Mahatatva, once a protector of balance, has turned into a corrupted force determined to restore Earth’s harmony at any cost. To save the world, Shaktimaan must embark on a quest to find five mystical jewels — the Manis of Elements — and realize that true strength lies in compassion, not destruction.
Spanning nearly 10 hours of immersive storytelling, the series features beloved characters like Gangadhar Shastri, Geeta Vishwas, Mahatma, and TRP Baba. To celebrate the launch, Pocket FM released a nostalgic and humorous brand film titled “Distressed Villains”, featuring Bollywood’s iconic 90s baddies — Gulshan Grover, Ranjeet, and Surendra Pal — reacting to Shaktimaan’s grand comeback.
