Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta inspected the ongoing sewer strengthening work being undertaken by the Public Health Engineering Department in Sector 6, HSVP area, where an advanced and non-invasive technology is being deployed to upgrade the existing sewer infrastructure.

Rohtak, April 21, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta inspected the ongoing sewer strengthening work being undertaken by the Public Health Engineering Department in Sector 6, HSVP area, where an advanced and non-invasive technology is being deployed to upgrade the existing sewer infrastructure.

The project, being executed at a cost of approximately ₹6.96 crore, involves strengthening around 1,400 meters of sewer line using Machine Wound Spiral Lining (MWSL) technology, eliminating the need for excavation.

The Deputy Commissioner highlighted that:

* The existing sewer line is being reinforced without dismantling or excavation
* A 600 mm PVC liner is being inserted using advanced machinery
* The upgraded pipeline is expected to have a life span of over 50 years

This approach ensures minimal disruption to traffic and public life, while delivering long-term durability.

The sewer strengthening work is being carried out from Azadgarh Bypass to Mangal Kamal Office (BJP Office). The project will directly benefit residents of Azadgarh, Vishal Nagar and Sector 6. By improving drainage efficiency and reducing the risk of sewer failures.

The Deputy Commissioner directed that:

* The project must be completed before the monsoon season
* Quality standards must be strictly maintained
* Continuous monitoring should be ensured for timely completion

DC Sachin Gupta emphasized that “Adoption of modern technologies like MWSL reflects our commitment to building durable, efficient, and citizen-friendly urban infrastructure while minimizing inconvenience.”

Senior officials from the Public Health Engineering Department, including Superintending Engineer Shivraj, Executive Engineer Sanjeev, Sub-Divisional Engineer Mukesh, and representatives of the executing agency were present during the inspection.
