Series of competitions to start in government schools

Ludhiana: Dedicated to 400th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the education department is set to start online educational competitions among the students of 6th to 12th classes of government schools.

District Education Officer (Secondary) Lakhvir Singh said that these competitions would be held in two groups at school level. He said that the students of 6th and 8th classes would be in first and students of 9th and 12th would take part in these competitions as second group.

He said that winners of block levels would later qualify for district and then winners would compete in state level. He added said that these competitions would be related only to the life, philosophy, teachings and sacrifice of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji.

Deputy DEO Dr Charanjeet Singh said all government schools are mandatory to participate in these competitions and principals of schools have been deputed as nodal officers and would ensure enthusiastic participation of the students.
