Senior BJP leader Sanjay Tandon visits bereaved families of 3 Chandigarh teens who drowned in Ganga, offers condolences
Senior BJP leader, Himachal Pradesh Co-incharge and former Chandigarh BJP President Sanjay Tandon on Tuesday visited the families of Bharat alias Bittu, Shivanshu and Nitish, the three teenagers from Sector 30, Chandigarh, who tragically lost their lives after drowning in the Ganga river.

Chandigarh, August 4, 2026: Senior BJP leader, Himachal Pradesh Co-incharge and former Chandigarh BJP President Sanjay Tandon on Tuesday visited the families of Bharat alias Bittu, Shivanshu and Nitish, the three teenagers from Sector 30, Chandigarh, who tragically lost their lives after drowning in the Ganga river.
During his visit, Tandon expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls. He shared the grief of the families and assured them that the entire community stands with them during this difficult time.
Tandon said, "The untimely demise of these three young boys is an irreparable loss for their families as well as for society. No words can truly lessen the pain of parents who have lost their children. I pray to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed souls and give strength and courage to the bereaved families to bear this immense loss."
He further said, "In moments of such profound sorrow, it is our collective responsibility to stand by the affected families and extend every possible moral support. We share their grief and pray that they find the strength to overcome this tragedy."
Several BJP leaders and local residents accompanied Tandon during the condolence visit including Dy Mayor Suman Devi, Pradesh Pravakta Naresh Arora, Rajinder Kaur Rattu, Inder Jeet Kala, Mandal President Ravi Rawat, BJP Mahila Morcha Chandigarh President Sonam Verma, Veena Mamgai, Rajni Talwar, Vipin Kumar, Prem Gupta, Kashish Mahajan, Ridhi Soni, and other residents of the ward, who also expressed their sympathies with the bereaved families.
