He further added that although I have been a Member of Parliament from Punjab twice, I look at Haryana in the very same way and with the same perspective as when this used to be Maha Punjab, when my respected maternal grandfather Teerath Singh Guram  was a minister in the PEPSU and  United Punjab governments.
A set of portentous circumstances arose in 1966 due to which we divided ourselves, but whether it is Punjab, Haryana or Chandigarh, we are all one,” Tewari asserted.
Replying to a media that yesterday Union Home Minister Amit Shah had arrived in Chandigarh and gave projects worth Rs 258 crore to Chandigarh, Tewari, “The thing is that the 24x7 Manimajra water supply project was also inaugurated two years ago, so my request to you is to please go and check what is the condition of that still born project it is important that when a Senior Minister of the Union Government speaks he must certainly take the ground reality into cognizance.”
