Senior BJP Leader Sanjay Tandon Inaugurates Blood Donation-cum-Health Check Up Camp
Senior BJP leader Sanjay Tandon on Saturday inaugurated a blood donation-cum-free health check-up camp organised by different Jewellers Associations of tricity in collaboration with the Women and Child Care Welfare Foundation (WCCWF) at the Community Centre, Sector 37, Chandigarh. A total of eighty (80) units of blood were collected at the camp.

Chandigarh, September 12, 2026: Senior BJP leader Sanjay Tandon on Saturday inaugurated a blood donation-cum-free health check-up camp organised by different Jewellers Associations of tricity in collaboration with the Women and Child Care Welfare Foundation (WCCWF) at the Community Centre, Sector 37, Chandigarh. A total of eighty (80) units of blood were collected at the camp.
Tandon, who attended the camp as the Chief Guest, said such initiatives reflected the true spirit of service, compassion and community welfare.
“Blood donation can give someone a second chance at life, while timely health check-ups create greater awareness about health and well-being. I commend the Jewellers' Associations of tricity and the Women and Child Care Welfare Foundation for bringing the community together for such a meaningful cause,” Tandon said.
He appreciated Hukum Goyal, President, Chandigarh Johri Association, and Kamaljeet Singh, General Secretary, WCCWF, along with the entire team behind the camps, for taking the initiative and contributing to the welfare of society.
Notably, the blood donation camp was facilitated by a team of doctors from Grecian Hospital. Free consultations were provided in the following specialities: General Physician, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Urology, Dietetics and Dental Care. Health check-up facilities included blood pressure, blood sugar, ECG, uroflowmetry, pulmonary function test (PFT) and bone mineral density (BMD) tests. An eye check-up camp was also organised under the aegis of Grewal Eye Institute.
The following jewellers' associations came together to make the camps a success - Chandigarh Johri Association; Manimajra Jewellers Association(MJA); Chandigarh Sarafa Association(CSA); Swarnasilpi Kalyan Sanga, Chandigarh; Jewellers Association, Mohali; Panchkula Jewellers Association and NAC Jewellers Association, Chandigarh.
