Chandigarh, October 20, 2026: Senior BJP leader Sanjay Tandon on Tuesday attended Dussehra celebrations as the Chief Guest at various venues in Chandigarh including the programmes organised by Divya Ramayan Yuva Kala Manch in Sector 49, Jai Shri Ramleela Manch in Sector 51, and the Dussehra event near Kheda Mandir in Sector 25.
Addressing the gatherings, Tandon said, “Dussehra reminds us that no matter how powerful evil may appear, truth and righteousness ultimately prevail. The life of Lord Shri Ram teaches us the importance of upholding our principles, respecting our elders, fulfilling our responsibilities and standing firmly against injustice.”
He said that Dussehra was not merely a festival but also a reminder of the eternal values embodied by Lord Shri Ram. His life and ideals continue to inspire people to follow the path of truth, discipline, sacrifice, compassion and duty.
Tandon extended his greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra and highlighted the timeless significance of the festival, which symbolises the victory of good over evil, truth over falsehood, and righteousness over injustice.
Emphasising the importance of cultural traditions, Tandon said that festivals such as Dussehra and the staging of Ramleela played a vital role in preserving India's rich cultural and spiritual heritage. Such events also bring communities together, strengthen social harmony and help younger generations connect with the country's glorious traditions.
Tandon appreciated the organisers and volunteers of the respective Ramleela and Dussehra committees for their efforts in organising the celebrations and promoting the message of Lord Ram among the people.
