Security boost for allottees as GLADA initiates boundary wall construction in Jagraon

Ludhiana:  In its continuous efforts to provide well-planned housing facilities to the general public, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, GLADA has initiated the process for construction of a boundary wall around the Urban Estate developed by Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA).
The Urban Estate has been developed under PUDA OUVGL Scheme at Sugar Mill Site, Jagraon, spread over an area of 94.72 acres. For the construction of the boundary wall, online tenders have been invited through the e-tendering system.
It is pertinent to mention that due to the absence of a boundary wall, the allottees of the Urban Estate had been demanding this work for a long time keeping security concerns in view. Responding to their long-pending demand, GLADA has now floated a tender for the construction of the boundary wall at an estimated cost of approximately Rs. 168 lakh. After successful allotment of the tender, the work will be completed within a stipulated time period of six months.
Along with the construction of the boundary wall, access to road from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has already been obtained. The process of obtaining No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Forest Department is also under progress.
With the construction of the boundary wall, the existing allottees will get significant relief in terms of security, and at the same time, it will also provide a golden opportunity for the general public to avail well-planned and secure residential facilities.
