Second Physical Verification of Agricultural Machinery under Crop Residue Management Scheme Continues: DC Sachin Gupta

Rohtak, January 21, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta said that the second phase of physical verification of agricultural machinery provided to farmers on subsidy under the Crop Residue Management Scheme is underway by the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department. The objective of the verification is to ensure that all machinery provided to farmers is properly installed and being effectively used for crop residue management.

He informed that a total of 368 agricultural machines have been distributed to farmers in the district under the scheme, including 342 Super Seeders, 7 Mulchers, 6 Zero Till Seed Drill Machines, 1 Baler and other modern agricultural equipment. These machines are helpful in managing stubble and play an important role in reducing the practice of burning crop residue. The use of these machines enables scientific and proper management of crop residue, which enhances soil fertility and promotes environmental protection. Subsidies under the scheme are also providing financial support to farmers and encouraging them to adopt modern agricultural technologies.

The Deputy Commissioner said that Super Seeder machines were verified at the block level on 20 January, while Baling Unit machines were checked on 21 January. The second physical verification of remaining machines including Reaper Binder, Paddy Straw Chopper and Tractor Mounted Loader will be conducted on 22 January at the local Agriculture Department office. He appealed to farmers to use these machines properly and regularly to further strengthen crop residue management and collective efforts towards a clean environment.
