Second Issue of UHSR Health Bulletin Released

Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences (UHSR), Rohtak, has taken another significant step towards promoting a healthy and empowered Haryana with the release of the second issue of the UHSR Health Bulletin. The bulletin was formally released by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. H.K. Aggarwal at his office on Friday.

Second Issue of UHSR Health Bulletin Released

Rohtak, August 14 2026: Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences (UHSR), Rohtak, has taken another significant step towards promoting a healthy and empowered Haryana with the release of the second issue of the UHSR Health Bulletin. The bulletin was formally released by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. H.K. Aggarwal at his office on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Aggarwal said that making Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao’s vision of a healthy Haryana a reality requires ensuring that people are aware of the modern technologies, facilities and healthcare services available at the state’s leading medical institution. He said the bulletin is not merely a publication but an important medium of health awareness that will take information about the achievements and new initiatives of PGIMS to the public.

The Vice-Chancellor said that, in view of the encouraging response to the first issue, the bulletin will now be published quarterly. Its digital edition will also be made available on the university website. “Treatment is important, but trust is even more important, and trust is built through accurate information,” he said, adding that the bulletin would serve as an effective bridge between PGIMS and society.

Prepared under the guidance of Dean Students’ Welfare Dr. Savita Singhal, the second issue covers institutional activities from April to June 2026. It highlights achievements of various departments, successful surgeries, new academic programmes, research and academic activities, faculty achievements, healthcare services, new projects, student activities, departmental updates and new collaborations. It also carries useful information on disease prevention and health awareness.

Registrar Dr. Roop Singh said that the responsibility of a medical university extends beyond producing doctors and includes taking information about its activities and achievements to society.

Director, PGIMS, Dr. S.K. Singhal said the bulletin would serve as a useful institutional guide for patients, helping them understand the services and facilities available at PGIMS. Dean Academic Affairs Dr. M.G. Vashisht, Dean Dr. Ashok Chauhan, Dr. Urmil Chawla, Dr. Ruchi Singhal, Dr. Aarti, Dr. Varun Arora, Dr. Umesh Yadav and other members of the editorial board were present on the occasion.
