Scientist, Ex-Wing Commander to Inspire MDU Freshers on Aug. 25
Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) will organise ‘Diksharambh – Induction Programme’ for newly admitted undergraduate (UG) students on August 25 at Tagore Auditorium. The programme will begin at 9 am and will be presided over by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Milap Poonia.

Rohtak, August 22, 2026: Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) will organise ‘Diksharambh – Induction Programme’ for newly admitted undergraduate (UG) students on August 25 at Tagore Auditorium. The programme will begin at 9 am and will be presided over by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Milap Poonia.
Dean, Student Welfare, Prof. Sapna Garg said eminent scientist Prof. P.K. Joshi, former Head of the Special Centre for Disaster Research at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and retired Indian Air Force Wing Commander Geetanjali Singh will deliver motivational addresses, sharing insights on success, leadership and personal growth.
Freshers have been asked to report at the Tagore Auditorium between 9 am and 9:30 am. The afternoon session will feature cultural performances.
The induction programme is being organised for newly admitted UG students enrolled in various university teaching departments.
