Prestigious SARAS Mela is scripting a new success story in Ludhiana with over 10,000 tickets have been sold on day one of this mega event and over 30,000 tickets were expected to be sold during this weekend. The entry fee is only Rs. 10 for this event.

Ludhiana, October 28, 2023: Prestigious SARAS Mela is scripting a new success story in Ludhiana with over 10,000 tickets have been sold on day one of this mega event and over 30,000 tickets were expected to be sold during this weekend. The entry fee is only Rs. 10 for this event. 

Divulging the details, Deputy Commissioner Surbahi Malik said that people of Ludhiana were really excited for this gala event as a large number of queries were received by the administration about this Mela. She stated that an influx of families visiting the campus of Punjab Agriculture University can easily be seen here and the district administration has already made vast arrangements to ensure smooth and hassle-free conduct of the Mela.
 
The DC further mentioned that cultural and musical performance by renowned artists will add another feather in the cap as singer Gurnam Bhullar, Ranjit Bawa, Sartinder Sartaj, Jorawat Wadali would perform in this event in coming days. She stated that Gurnam Bhullar would perform on October 29, Satinder Sartaj on November 1, Ranjeet Bawa on November 3, and Jorawar Wadali would perform on November 4. She also said that the tickets for Satinder Sartaj and Ranjeet Bawa’s show are available at the ticket counter in PAU campus at a cost of Rs. 2000, and Rs. 200 respectively. The musical performance would start at 6.30 pm daily.

She also mentioned that the visitors will get to see vibes of diversity of India as artists from across 23 states will present their artistic and culinary skills during the event. The administration has set up nearly 356 stalls for artisans from different states of the county, who will display their skills at these counters. She said that ample security and parking arrangements have also been made for this event with over 300 CCTV cameras have been installed around the venue. This Mela will mark its culmination on November 5, she said, adding that the administration has also made proper arrangements for food, accommodation for the artisans participating in the event.
 
Pertinently, Ludhiana district was holding this event for the third time and earlier this event was organized in the year 2012, and 2017. She reiterated that the Ludhiana district administration would leave no stone unturned to make this event a mega success in the district.
