Ludhiana, June 23, 2025: In the second round of counting for the Ludhiana (West) Assembly by-election, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora continued his dominance by securing 2,959 votes, further solidifying his early lead.
Congress candidate Bharat Bhushan Ashu followed with 1,746 votes, while Jiwan Gupta of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) received 1,619 votes. Advocate Parupkar Singh Ghuman of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) bagged 1,061 votes in this round.
Other candidates received the following number of votes:

NOTA (None of the Above) was chosen by 81 voters.
The total number of votes counted in Round 2 stood at 7,560. With a lead of over 1,200 votes in this round alone, Sanjeev Arora of AAP appears to be emerging as the frontrunner, though the final outcome depends on subsequent rounds.
