Ludhiana, June 29, 2026:
A significant contribution to Sikh literature, “Salok Mahala 9”—an exegesis of the divine Saloks of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji in Punjabi, Hindi, and English by noted environmentalist and author Ranjodh Singh—was formally released during the Vishesh Gurmat Camp 2026 held at Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Sarabha Nagar, Ludhiana.
The book was jointly released by Giani Harbhajan Singh Ji Dhudike (Damdami Taksal, Bhinder Kalan) and Sant Baba Amir Singh Ji, Head of Jawaddi Taksal, Ludhiana, in the presence of a large gathering of Sikh scholars, educators, intellectuals, and members of the Sangat from across Punjab.
Salok Mahala 9 presents the timeless teachings of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji in a simple, authentic, and reader-friendly format, making Gurbani more accessible to readers of Punjabi, Hindi, and English. A unique feature of the publication is the inclusion of QR codes that provide instant access to audio recitations for correct pronunciation, along with additional explanatory material to help readers gain a deeper understanding of the divine message of Gurbani.
Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries lauded the dedicated efforts of Ranjodh Singh in making Guru Sahib’s teachings accessible to a wider audience while preserving their spiritual essence and authenticity. They expressed confidence that the publication would serve as a valuable reference for students, researchers, preachers, and devotees seeking a deeper understanding of the philosophy and teachings of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
Among the distinguished personalities present were Dr. Gurpreet Singh Bajaj, President, Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Sarabha Nagar; Charandeep Singh, Secretary, Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Sarabha Nagar; Tej Partap Singh Sandhu; Charanjit Singh (Bank Wale); Members of the Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle and prominent members of the Sikh community, educationists, writers, and Gurmat scholars.
