Salasar successfully completes two phases of vaccination drive, vaccinates 970 employees for free
The company rolled out its vaccination drive in two different phases to vaccinate its employees and labour force for free of cost.
New Delhi: Salasar Techno Engineering – one of the largest steel fabrication and infrastructure companies in India has successfully vaccinated its 970 employees and labour force against COVID-19. The company rolled out the vaccination drive in two phases on 12 June and 19 June at its factory and office premises.
The second wave of the pandemic had a devastating impact on human health. To be a part of India’s big vaccination strategy, citizens across all age groups are voluntarily coming forward to get vaccinated. As a response to the nationwide vaccination drive, Salasar Techno commenced its in-house vaccination drive after the government’s announcement on allowing the corporates to organize vaccination at the workplace.
The company vaccinated a total of 358 employees in 8 hours in its first phase and 612 more employees it’s the second phase, making the total tally reach 970 vaccinated employees.
Commenting on the vaccination drive, Mr Shashank Agarwal- MD of Salasar Techno, said, “The management at Salasar is proud of the huge turnout for the vaccination drive. Being a people-centric company, it is our responsibility to ensure the well-being of our employees, labour force and other members while they are at work. The vaccination drive is yet another initiative to make a safer work environment for its people.”
“Our corporate vaccination drives went very well under the supervision of medical experts. We will continue to take every possible initiative to aid the nation in its fight against the pandemic,” he added.
The initiative took place following all safety and hygiene protocols. To commence a safe vaccination drive, the company partnered with top-tier healthcare providers to vaccinate people with all precautionary measures.
The company provided the first dose of the Covishield vaccine free of cost to its workforce. Besides this, it is also providing dedicated support to employees with expert consultation for vaccination-related doubts and queries. Additionally, it has also rolled out a paid leave policy for those experiencing common side effects after the vaccine.
