Saga of Women Entrepreneurs- mark the celebration of International Women's day at Home Science College
Government Home Science College, Sector-10, Chandigarh celebrated International Women's Day with great enthusiasm on March 9, 2026 by organizing an inspiring session titled “Saga of Women Entrepreneurs – She Leads, She Inspires, She Conquers.” The programme was organised by the IEP Cell in collaboration with RCED in the Research Block of the college.
Chandigarh, March 10, 2026: Government Home Science College, Sector-10, Chandigarh celebrated International Women's Day with great enthusiasm on March 9, 2026 by organizing an inspiring session titled “Saga of Women Entrepreneurs – She Leads, She Inspires, She Conquers.” The programme was organised by the IEP Cell in collaboration with RCED in the Research Block of the college.
The event featured motivational talks by two accomplished women entrepreneurs, Iqroop Kaur, Shepreneur and founder of Khaalis Organic Collective Store, and Varundeep Kaur, Shepreneur, President WICCI Artificial Intelligence Council,Technology Leader and Coach.
Sharing her entrepreneurial journey, Iqroop Kaur spoke about how her passion for healthy living and sustainable products motivated her to establish an organic collective store in Chandigarh. She highlighted the challenges of building a brand based on quality and authenticity and encouraged students to pursue business ideas that create value for society.
Varundeep Kaur spoke about her journey in the technology sector and how she later moved into mentoring and coaching professionals with various tools of Artificial Intelligence. She emphasized the importance of continuous learning, skill development, and self-confidence for young women aspiring to take leadership roles and start their own ventures.
Addressing the gathering, Prof.Sudha Katyal, Principal of the college, motivated students to believe in their abilities and strive towards becoming confident, independent, and empowered individuals. She stressed that entrepreneurship and leadership are powerful tools for women’s empowerment in the modern world.
More than 150 students attended the interactive session and gained valuable insights from the experiences shared by the speakers.
