Rohtak District Administration on Alert Regarding Rainwater Drainage and Flood Protection Works: DC Sachin Gupta
Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta today evening inspected villages Sisra Khas, Bhaini Maharajpur, Behlba, and Bedwa of Meham subdivision regarding flood protection works. He reviewed the drainage of agricultural fields and instructed officers on the spot to continue the drainage works without interruption. He also interacted with villagers regarding drainage and assured them that there is no shortage of district administration resources for water drainage. He told villagers that pipes and pump sets can be procured as per requirement.

Rohtak, August 31, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta today evening inspected villages Sisra Khas, Bhaini Maharajpur, Behlba, and Bedwa of Meham subdivision regarding flood protection works. He reviewed the drainage of agricultural fields and instructed officers on the spot to continue the drainage works without interruption. He also interacted with villagers regarding drainage and assured them that there is no shortage of district administration resources for water drainage. He told villagers that pipes and pump sets can be procured as per requirement.
Earlier, while speaking to the media, Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta said that the district administration is fully alert regarding rainwater drainage and flood protection works, and it is fully prepared to handle any situation. He said that flood control rooms have been set up in the district, which is functional 24×7. Any person can inform about water logging at the District Revenue Officer’s office, Room No. 102, Mini Secretariat, Rohtak, on phone numbers 01262-230401, 01262-244151. At the Meham subdivision level, the flood control room has been set up in Room No. 6, Mini Secretariat, phone number 01257-233148, and at the Sampla subdivision level, the flood control room has been set up in Room No. 3, SDM Office, phone number 01262-263046.
He said that drainage work is continuously being carried out in waterlogged areas. Additional pump sets have been installed wherever required. Duties of all district administration officers have been fixed for flood protection works. All officers and employees are working 24×7. Farmers’ losses are also being recorded on the compensation portal. In response to a question, he said that Drain No. 8 is being specially monitored. Patrolling of all water sources is being conducted. Public representatives have also been involved in this work. All IAS and HCS officers are performing their duties in their respective designated areas. The situation in the district is currently normal, and drainage work is continuously underway.
