The IHM Principal also shared plans regarding the establishment of a modern commercial bakery unit—"The Sweet Nest"—within the institute premises. He noted that this bakery unit would provide students with hands-on training, live production experience, and exposure to state-of-the-art bakery techniques. Furthermore, the unit will also serve to make high-quality bakery products available to the residents of the city.

Discussing career prospects with media persons, Principal Shambhu Nath Gautam mentioned that a proposal is currently under consideration by the Haryana Government to grant priority to IHM, Rohtak students for employment opportunities under the aegis of the HKRN (Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam), across the 43 tourist complexes operated by Haryana Tourism.

Principal Gautam emphasized that the institute's primary objective is to provide students with quality education and practical training aligned with global standards, thereby enabling them to build successful careers within the hospitality industry. He further highlighted that IHM students have consistently delivered outstanding performances in various national-level competitions, winning numerous awards.

Thanks to IHM's robust industry partnerships with various prestigious hotel chains, students gain invaluable real-world work experience. Moreover, the institute remains firmly committed to ensuring 100% internship placement and 100% final job placement for its students. While providing information on scholarship schemes, he explained that students are extended the benefits of various initiatives operated by both the Central and State governments—including the Post-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST/BC categories, scholarships facilitated through the National Scholarship Portal, and the Haryana Government’s Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chhatra Yojana.

Vikas Deshwal, a lecturer at the IHM, said that during the current academic session, the institute is conducting a three-year B.Sc. program in Hospitality and Hotel Administration (HHA) in academic collaboration with Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. Students who successfully complete this course are awarded their degrees by JNU. Furthermore, applications have also been invited for one-and-a-half-year diploma programs in Food and Beverage Service, Food Production, and Bakery and Confectionery. By enrolling in these professional courses, students can give a new impetus to their careers in the fields of hospitality and tourism. The minimum eligibility criterion for admission is having passed the 12th grade. Admission to the degree programs will be based on the NCHM Entrance Examination, while admission to the diploma programs will be determined by merit at the institute level.
