Chandigarh, July 24, 2026: The Centre for Police Administration, Panjab University, Chandigarh, in collaboration with the National Cadet Corps (NCC), Panjab University, Chandigarh, commemorated Kargil Vijay Diwas to honour the historic victory of the Indian Armed Forces and pay tribute to the valour, courage, and supreme sacrifices of the nation’s brave soldiers.
The programme highlighted the significance of Vijay Diwas and paid homage to the soldiers who displayed exemplary courage, dedication, and patriotism in the service of the nation.
Approximately 40 participants attended the programme, including Dr. Kuldeep Singh, Chairperson, Centre for Police Administration, Panjab University, Prof. Monica Munjial, Associate NCC Officer (ANO), NCC, 1st Chandigarh Battalion (Girls), Panjab University, faculty members, research scholars, office staff& students of the Centre for Police Administration and NCC cadets of Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Kuldeep emphasised the importance of remembering the sacrifices of the armed forces and inspiring the younger generation to uphold the ideals of courage, duty, discipline, and devotion to the nation.
The programme featured the recitation of patriotic poems, presentation of patriotic songs, and speeches by NCC cadets, which created an atmosphere of patriotism and reverence for the nation’s armed forces. The presentations paid tribute to the indomitable spirit and unforgettable sacrifices of the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice for the country.
