Rayat Bahra Professional University’s School of Law Organizes Child Trafficking Awareness Campaign at Village Phuglana

Hoshiarpur / Village Phuglana, October 22, 2026: As part of its ongoing legal aid and community outreach initiatives, the University School of Law, Rayat Bahra Professional University, organized a comprehensive awareness programme on “Child Trafficking” at Village Phuglana. The initiative was spearheaded under the guidance of Priyanka Puri, Head of the Department, University School of Law, and coordinated by faculty members Rahul Mdhara and Alka Rani (Assistant Professors in Law).
A total of 71 law students (17 male and 54 female) actively participated in the outreach drive aimed at sensitizing rural residents and government school children about the severe perils of child trafficking, exploitation, and abuse.
The campaign featured an impactful awareness rally through the village lanes, carrying messages on child rights and community vigilance. To convey the message effectively, the students staged a compelling Nukkad Natak (street play) depicting the vulnerabilities surrounding child trafficking, preventive measures, and the legal recourse available for reporting suspicious activities. The interactive sessions between the law students, school children, and local villagers effectively bridged the gap between classroom legal education and grass-roots social responsibility, receiving widespread appreciation from the local community.
