Rahul Wins 14th Mr Chandigarh Title, Set to Compete at Nationals in Indore Next Month

Chandigarh, March 9, 2026: The 14th Mr. Chandigarh Bodybuilding Championship was organised by the Chandigarh Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Association on March 8 in Chandigarh under the guidance of its office bearers. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from athletes across multiple categories.
The championship was organised under the leadership of Chairman Kalvinder Singh, President Suraj Bhan, General Secretary Nakul Kaushal and Treasurer Vikram. Vice Presidents Upkar Singh and Pradeep Singh, Joint Secretary Rahul and Organising Secretary Sanjay Tomer coordinated the event, while executive members Randeep Singh, Vikas Kumar, Deep Malik and Ram assisted in the arrangements.
Asia and World Champion Baldev Kumar was also present on the occasion and motivated the participants. Prominent personalities who attended as special guests included Narinder Singh Shergill, Chairman Milkfed Punjab; Mohit Agarwal, SP Mohali; Rahul Gupta (IAS), Managing Director Milkfed Punjab; Ranjit Singh Chahal, Director Milkfed Punjab; Barinder Singh Dhillon, former president of Punjab Youth Congress; and Akasdeep (IRS), Joint Commissioner, Income Tax.
In the competition results, Abhimanyu secured first place in the below 55 kg category, followed by Rohit in second place and Prince Singh in third. In the 55–60 kg category, Hitesh stood first, Abhishek second and Jobanpreet Singh third. In the 60–65 kg category, Nipun Mandal secured first position, Ali finished second and Aman Mall third.
In the 65–70 kg category, Sachin Syal won first place, Sanjeev Kumar came second and Sahil Kalyan third. In the 70–75 kg category, Arshinder secured first position, Satnam finished second and Hrithik Jattav third.
In the 75–80 kg (A) category, Pawan Kumar secured first place, Rabi came second and Deepak Kharab finished third. In the 80–85 kg category, Rakesh stood first, Jatinder Singh second and Inder Veer Singh third. In the 85 kg and above open category, Rahul secured first place, Shubham finished second and Ankit Beniwal came third.
In the Men’s Sports Physique category, Rimonn secured first place, Daljeet finished second and Nitish Sood came third. In the Women Open category, Rabecca secured first position, Sangeeta finished second and Sandhya came third.
Rahul was declared the Overall Champion of the championship. Speaking on the occasion, Rahul said that the 14th edition of the Mr. Chandigarh Bodybuilding Championship is a significant platform to promote fitness, discipline and sportsmanship among youth. He said the championship provides athletes an opportunity to showcase their strength and dedication to bodybuilding. Rahul added that he is excited to represent the city at the National Championship scheduled next month in Indore and hopes the event will inspire more young people to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle.
The championship concluded with enthusiastic participation and appreciation from athletes, officials and fitness enthusiasts.
