New Delhi, October 29, 2021: Rabindranath Tagore University (RNTU) from the AISECT Group University is inviting applications for their flagship vocational courses. The courses offered span across Bachelors, Masters, Ph.D, PG Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Diploma as well as Certificate Programs. The industry focused, skill-based programmes in vocational streams are crafted around industry-oriented, work- integrated, NEP (New Education Policy) aligned modules across key sectors like IT/ITeS, Automobile, Tourism and Hospitality, Healthcare, Electronics as well as Banking, Financial Services and Insurance. The vocational programme is focussed on providing undergraduate studies by incorporating specific job roles and alongside broad based general education. 
The innovative courses based on the work-integrated training program are focused on making students industry ready offers a plethora of benefits like earn while you learn option, real time work environment for effective trainings and flexible course selection. B.Voc courses are also available across other upcoming sectors like Agriculture, Food Processing, Telecommunication, Textile Technology, Life Sciences, Construction Technology and Retail to name few. B.Voc courses are aimed at meeting talent requirements across industries through a flexible, holistic and well-groomed curriculum. With industry preparedness as the core USP, the courses help to upgrade existing workforce with a recognized degrees for vocational skills that they possess.

Some of the key courses offered are B.Voc degree in Retail Management, Diploma in Retail Operations, Diploma in Basic Nursing, Certificate in Mobile Handset Repair Technician, Certificate in General Plumbing, Diploma in Surface mining technology, Certificate in Mining Loader Operator to name few. As a part of the course, organizations can train, assess and absorb high performing students as full-time employees, providing a host of benefits to the organization, candidate as well as the overall industry. This program also provides a great opportunity for the Industry to develop their manpower as per their own specific skill demand in collaboration with Rabindranath Tagore University.
 
Keeping up with the need of an evolving workforce, there is a need for higher education curriculum to follow a practical approach to education. The program has thus been introduced by UGC to cater to the changing business landscape, with an amalgamation of vocational and management ideas. The three-year program is divided into 6 semesters, with 2 semesters per year. B.Voc courses provides students with the flexibility through multiple exits and entry options. Students have the option of completing with a Diploma at the end of the first year, Advanced Diploma at the end of two years or the Bachelor’s degree at the end of three years. In addition to B.Voc Programmes, RNTU offers Masters of Vocation (M.Voc) as well as Ph.D programs in various sectors.
 
Registration for B.Voc degree programs are open throughout the year, whereas, main admission are open in May – June for the semester commencing in July. For semester commencing in January, admissions are open between November – December.
