Quiz Competition on ‘Festivals of Assam’

Jalandhar, April 7, 2023: According to the guidelines of a national program entitled ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’, the I-Social Club of PCM SD College for Women, Jalandhar organized a Quiz Competition on ‘Festivals of Assam’. Assam is a conglomeration of ethnicity. Diverse tribes like Bodo, Kachari, Karbi, Miri, Mishimi and Rabha exist in harmony. The festivals like Bihu, Baishagu, Baikho, Rongker, Harni Gabra, Bohaggiyo Bishu and Ambubashi Mela celebrated in Assam epitomise the spirit of togetherness and assimilation of different faiths. The unique fusion brings forth the idea of glorification in the cultural melange. Students showed avid participation in the competition. There were three teams: A, B and C. Team B of Krishma of BA Semester IV and Niyati of BA. B.Ed Semester IV won the competition. President Naresh Kumar Budhia, Senior Vice-President Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Prof.(Dr.) Pooja Prashar applauded the efforts of the club and the Nodal Officer Aabroo Sharma in conducting such an activity in the national interest.
