Punjab Public Works Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO, on Friday, directed the officers to ensure immediate disposal of arbitration cases besides expediting the handling of court cases of the department.

Punjab Public Works Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO, on Friday, directed the officers to ensure immediate disposal of arbitration cases besides expediting the handling of court cases of the department.
While reviewing the pending arbitration and court cases of different zones within the Public Works Department (B&M Branch), the Cabinet Minister expressed concern over the pending cases, asking officials to promptly address arbitration cases and ensure a handling of court cases. He emphasized the need for authorities to take appropriate measures to reduce the case backlog.
Harbhajan Singh ETO instructed Priyank Bharti, Secretary, PWD to forward the case to the Finance Department for appointing a dedicated panel of expert lawyers to expedite case settlement, saving both time and money of the government.
The meeting was attended by Priyank Bharti, Secretary, PWD, Chief Engineers, Superintending Engineers and concerned Executive Engineers.
