PU's UIET SAE Club Triumphs at IIIT Gwalior’s Infotsav, Secures Bronze in Robowars
In a thrilling Robowar Event at IIIT Gwalior’s prestigious Techfest, Infotsav, held on October 18-19, 2024, the SAE Club from University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET), Panjab University earned accolades by securing the third position in the intense Robowars event. The team, comprised of Shreyvardhan Singh, Sudhanshu Rajput, Himanshu, and Prabhroop Singh all dedicated students from UIET crafted a powerful 8kg battle robot that stood its ground against fierce competitors and won against 21 kg heavyweight robot of NIT Allahabad.

Chandigarh, October 22, 2024: In a thrilling Robowar Event at IIIT Gwalior’s prestigious Techfest, Infotsav, held on October 18-19, 2024, the SAE Club from University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET), Panjab University earned accolades by securing the third position in the intense Robowars event. Their remarkable achievement, claiming bronze against such odds, is a testament to their hard work, innovation, and spirit.
In another event TechInvent held at a Private University in Punjab on October 18-19, 2024, the SAE club from UIET, Panjab University earned a commendable 3rd place in the Circuit Scramble Competition also. The team, comprising Gaurav Patel, Shivangi Jha, Shubham Kumar, Vinayak Sharma, and Yeeshu—dedicated SAE Club members from UIET—worked tirelessly with a strategic approach to overcome challenges and make their mark among some of the best.
This achievement has instilled immense pride in the UIET community, with UIET Director Prof. Sanjeev Puri and Mechanical Coordinator Prof. Shankar Sehgal commending the team for their dedication and hard work. They expressed their encouragement for the team to continue striving for excellence, inspiring them to reach even greater heights in future competitions.
