Chandigarh, September 6, 2013: The Punjab Government would establish 10 zones in the state for issuing licenses for sale of restricted drugs for issuance and renewal of retail sale of restricted drugs in the state.
Disclosing this here today an official Spokesperson of the State Government said that Government has taken this decision under the Drug and Cosmetic Rules 1945 and notification in this regard has been issued.
He further added that these zones to be established at Amritsar, Ajitgarh, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Bathinda, Patiala, Sangrur, Hoshiarpur, Ferozpur and Gurdaspur. The zone incharge would be the competent authority for issuing licenses for retail sale of restricted drugs and renewal of licenses, he added.
