Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria attended the fourth day of the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha and Vrindavan Praktya Utsav

Chandigarh, September 30, 2025: The Vrindavan Praktya Utsav and Shrimad Bhagwat Katha are being organized at the Mela Ground in Sector 34 under the aegis of the Shri Krishna Priya Ju Sankirtan Mandal. The event will continue until October 3. 

On the fourth day of the Katha, Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria arrived with his wife to listen to the Katha. Sanjay Tandon, a BJP leader from Chandigarh, also arrived with his wife.

On this occasion, the organizers of the event, B. Prak and Munish Bajaj, welcomed the Governor. The Katha began with full rituals, with the chanting of Radha Raman Hari.  World renowned Katha Vyas Param Pujya Shri Indresh Maharaj said that due to the efforts of singer B Praak, Chandigarh has now become Vrindavan.  On the fourth day of the Vrindavan Prakash Utsav in Chandigarh, the glory of the character of devotees was extolled. Maharaj Ji explained that if Lord Vishnu is present in the home and no service is being performed during the three hours of the day, then at bedtime, at night, listen to stories about the character of devotees. Lord Vishnu is pleased with this. On the fourth day of the festival, Maharaj Ji described Bai Sa's (Meera Bai) unwavering love for Giridhar. During Bai Sa's husband's final moments, his head was in Bai Sa's lap. While lying in her lap, he gazed at Meera Bai's face. As he closed his eyes to blink, he saw Giridhar Ji in person on Bai Sa's face and breathed his last. Thakur Ji is pleased and satisfied by hearing the love and character of such devotees. On this occasion, the birth anniversary of Mangal Kanha Ji was celebrated, and the Dadhi Leela Matki Phod festival was also celebrated with great pomp.

On the fourth day of the Katha, Shri Indresh Maharaj Ji's guru, Shri Krishna Chandra Shastri  Maharaj Ji also came to listen to the story. He said that those whose family and relatives do not interfere in their bhajans are fortunate, and that the person who brings you closer to Thakur is no less than Thakur Ji.

After that, world-renowned Katha Vyas Param Pujya Shri Indresh Maharaj explained that no one attains salvation in Vrindavan, but it is attained everywhere else. He said that those born in Vrindavan are always born in Vrindavan. He said that whenever a person dies in Vrindavan, no one mourns for them, because they will be born again here.

On this occasion, singer B. Praak said that thousands of people from Chandigarh are coming to listen to this Bhagwat Katha. He thanked everyone. He said, "I am very fortunate to have had the opportunity to organize this event and serve the great saints." The stage was moderated by Sandeep Chugh.
