Ludhiana, May 15, 2025: The Punjab government has launched a robust campaign against drug abuse, employing diverse strategies to inspire healthier lifestyles. From street plays and rallies to powerful slogans like "Punjabis Wake Up, Quit Drug Addiction" and "Do Yoga, Stay Healthy," the state is mobilizing communities to combat addiction. A cornerstone of this initiative is the 'CM Di Yogshala' program, which offers free yoga classes led by trained instructors across various locations, fostering physical and mental well-being while promoting unity and brotherhood.
During a recent inspection in Vaddi Haibowal District Coordinator Chandan Kumar Satyarthi observed the transformative impact of these yoga sessions. Conducted by instructor Shakti Saini at venues like Rose Garden, Haibowal, Prem Nagar Park, and Ghumar Mandi, the classes have become a beacon of health and harmony. Participants shared inspiring stories of recovery and improved quality of life, crediting the program for addressing ailments and enhancing overall well-being.
Meena, Meenu, and Monica Gupta, who reported relief from cervical pain and varicose veins, alongside improved sleep. Shivani overcame stress and overthinking, while Sonia, Seema, Nidhi, Poonam Moudgil, Neetu, Asha, and Anju achieved significant weight loss. Nidhi also resolved thyroid issues, and Mannu Jain found relief from back pain and cervical problems. Rekha, Narinder Kaur, Rajwinder, Anu, and Manjeet reported reduced weight, enhanced flexibility, and alleviation of cervical pain, back pain, and stress, with Manjeet noting increased happiness. Savita Sharma, Ankita, Rupinder, and Anu became more active, with knee and back pain resolved.
Further, Kavita’s blood pressure normalized, Krishna’s diabetes improved, and Tinky recovered from recurring urinary infections while gaining flexibility. Ravi saw positive results in back pain and obesity management, and Aarti experienced relief from acid reflux, stress, blood pressure, and weight issues. Geetanjali and Saloni Anand reported improvements in PCOD and obesity. Participants expressed heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, urging the continuation of these life-changing yoga classes.
