Ludhiana, September 5, 2026: Late Rattan Lal Goel who died on August 26, was a highly educated, respected and compassionate human being whose life was marked by sincerity, service and strong family values.
Born on 25th November, 1944, he pursued his education at the renowned Thapar College, Patiala, and went on to serve as an engineer in the Public Works Department – Rural Water Supply. Through his professional journey, he contributed significantly towards improving drinking water facilities for villages across different parts of Punjab. His work reflected not only his technical competence, but also his commitment to public service and the welfare of rural communities.
He married Sita Goel in the year 1968, and together they built a close-knit and loving family. They were blessed with four children — their eldest daughter, Neeru, followed by three sons, Sanjay, Vikas and Vinay.
Late Rattan Lal Goel spent a major part of his life in Patiala district and later in Ludhiana. He belonged to a large and closely connected family, with two elder brothers, one elder sister and two younger sisters.
Late Rattan Lal Goel is remembered not only for his professional achievements, but also for the values he lived by and passed on to generations after him. His commitment to education, hard work, integrity and family continues to be reflected in the lives and achievements of his children and grandchildren. His life remains a source of pride, inspiration and cherished memories for the entire family.
The Rasam Pagri and Bhog of Late Rattan Lal Goel will be held on September 6 (Sunday) from 2 pm to 3 pm at Shri Nav Durga Mata Mandir, Sarabha Nagar, Ludhiana.
