Punjab Government Gives a Major Gift to the People of Ludhiana

Ludhiana, June 2, 2026: Punjab's Minister for Revenue, Rehabilitation & Disaster Management, Water Supply & Sanitation, Housing and Urban Development, Hardeep Singh Mundian inaugurated the newly constructed Sub-Tehsil Complex in Ludhiana (North) on Tuesday and dedicated it to the people. This sub-tehsil has been built at a cost of ₹38 lakh. The Punjab Government has appointed Naib Tehsildar Jagseer Singh as the in-charge of this sub-tehsil. Naib Tehsildar Jagseer Singh took charge today in the presence of Revenue Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian.
While giving details, Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian said that the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann-led government is committed to spending every single penny for the welfare of the people, and the gift given to Ludhiana (North) today is also part of this commitment.
Hardeep Singh Mundian said that in the Ludhiana (North) Sub-Tehsil Complex, offices of the Sub-Registrar, Registration Room, Reader Room, Fard Room, a waiting hall for the public, canteen, generator room, and bathrooms have been established so that people coming for day-to-day administrative work do not face any inconvenience.
The Revenue Minister said that a large number of people will visit this sub-tehsil office daily for their work, which is why this complex has been constructed for their convenience. He added that previous governments never paid attention to such people-friendly initiatives. The new complex and rooms will provide a proper environment to the staff, enabling them to prioritize public service without any hassle.
MLA from Ludhiana North, Chaudhary Madan Lal Bagga thanked Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and said that the sub-tehsil has been established due to his efforts. He mentioned that this had been a long-standing demand of the people of Ludhiana North constituency, as they earlier faced great difficulty in getting registrations done. Now, with the establishment of this sub-tehsil, residents will not face any such problems.
Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana, Himanshu Jain said that the Punjab Government has constructed this sub-tehsil keeping in mind the main demand of the local people, as they previously had to travel far to Transport Nagar for registrations. Necessary staff has been appointed, and all facilities including furniture, ACs in public areas, water, and waiting facilities have been provided. Easy Registration staff, computers, and cameras have also been installed. The sub-tehsil is fully ready and will start functioning from today.
Present on the occasion were MLA Ashok Prashar Pappi, MLA Kulwant Singh Sidhu, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Ludhiana Neeru Katyal Gupta, Special Secretary Revenue Department T. Benith, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Ludhiana East) Jasleen Kaur Bhullar, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Ludhiana West) Kuldeep Bawa, Senior Deputy Mayor Rakesh Prashar, Chairman District Planning Board Ludhiana Jatinder Singh Khangura, along with a large number of councillors and local residents.
