Public awareness initiative on kidney care held at Elante Mall
To mark World Kidney Day, a public awareness initiative was organized by Livasa Hospital, Mohali at Elante Mall today to highlight the importance of kidney health, early detection and preventive care.

Chandigarh, March 16, 2026: To mark World Kidney Day, a public awareness initiative was organized by Livasa Hospital, Mohali at Elante Mall today to highlight the importance of kidney health, early detection and preventive care.
During the event a series of interactive activities including a drawing competition, longest squat contest, 'separate the beans' activity, and several other fun-filled games were organized.
During the occasion, Dr. Raka Kaushal, senior director–nephrology and Dr. Avinash Srivastava, senior director–urology and kidney transplant interacted with the participants and visitors.
They stressed the importance of early screening, lifestyle management and timely medical intervention to prevent kidney-related diseases.
Anurag Yadav, CEO-Livasa Hospitals, said, “Through such outreach programs, we aim to encourage early screening, healthy lifestyle choices and timely medical intervention to prevent the rising burden of kidney disease.”
The overwhelming participation we witnessed today reflects the growing awareness among people about the importance of kidney health, said Dr. Abhishek Garg facility head of hospital.
