PU VC Meets Srimanta Sankardev Chair Research Fellows
Panjab University (PU) Vice Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig today met the three Srimanta Sankardev Chair Research Fellows Vidhushi, Diku Hazarika and Neetu, who had visited Assam, as part of their field study.

Chandigarh, 8 May 2025: Panjab University (PU) Vice Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig today met the three Srimanta Sankardev Chair Research Fellows Vidhushi, Diku Hazarika and Neetu, who had visited Assam, as part of their field study.
PU Dean of University Instruction Prof. Yojna Rawat and Coordinator of Srimanta Sankardev Chair Prof. Supreet Kaur were also present on the occasion. The students shared their field experiences and academic learning with Vice Chancellor and DUI.
The student’s project focuses on the life and contributions of Srimanta Sankardev, the saint-scholar of Assam. During the visit to Assam, they engaged with local scholars and explored significant religious and cultural sites. The visit significantly enriched the research work and knowledge base of the Chair.
