Naresh Gaur, Senator Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Ludhiana: Naresh Gaur, Senator Panjab University, Chandigarh on Saturday shot off a letter to the University Vice Chancellor requesting to announce the promotion of the UG/PG/Professional Courses students like MBACIT (3rd semester) who submitted their Golden Chance Examination Form/fee for May 2020 Golden Chance examinations at par with other students of the University.

In pursuant of UGC Guidelines issued on 29.04.2020 and 06.07.2020 regarding the conduct of examination in view of Covid-19 Pandemic an unanticipated situation, Panjab University, Chandigarh, under the signatures Controller of Examinations and Dean College Development Council on 05.08.2020 has announced the promotion of all the students who are bonafide/registered students of University teaching departments/Constituent Colleges/Regional Centres/Affiliated Colleges intermediate classes, to the next semester/class.

Naresh Gaur, Senator Panjab University said keeping in view the present pandemic situation and the rising cases of COVID 19 particularly in Punjab State has welcomed the decision made not only in favour of students but the faculty also. But he also submitted his resentment through his letter to the Vice Chancellor PU dated 08.08.2020 in regard to ignoring the promotion of the UG/PG/Professional Courses students like MBACIT (3rd semester) who submitted their Golden Chance Examination Form/fee for May 2020 Golden Chance examinations at par with other students of the University.

He said, there is no mention of students having Golden Chance who had submitted their Golden Chance Examination Form/fee for May 2020 for UG/PG/Professional Courses like MBACIT (3rd semester). It is to be mentioned that these are also bonafide/ registered students like others. These students have also submitted examination fee worth Rs.10,000/- . The University is doing a great injustice to the students of UG/PG/Professional Courses like MBACIT (3rd semester) who submitted their Golden Chance Examination Form/fee for May 2020 Golden Chance examinations, by not announcing to promote them at par with other students. As result, there prevailed a great resentment/frustration among these students.

Naresh Gaur has requested the Vice Chancellor Panjab University to  consider his request and announce the promotion of the UG/PG/Professional Courses students like MBACIT (3rd semester) who submitted their Golden Chance Examination Form/fee for May 2020 Golden Chance examinations at par with other students of the University and to ensure equal justice to all the students.
