Kapurthala, October 17, 2026: Pushpa Gujral Science City organized a blood donation camp to mark its 29th Foundation Day. The camp aimed to promote voluntary blood donation and spread awareness about its importance in saving human lives. Around 50 individuals, including staff members of Science City, came forward to donate blood and support this noble cause.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Rajesh Grover, Director, Pushpa Gujral Science City, Kapurthala. said that blood donation is one of the noblest acts of service to humanity. He highlighted that donated blood is essential for treating accident victims, patients undergoing surgery, people suffering from thalassemia and other serious illnesses, and mothers facing complications during childbirth. He encouraged all eligible individuals to donate blood voluntarily and contribute towards saving precious lives. He also emphasized that blood donation promotes the values of kindness, care and social responsibility.
Dr. Munish Soin, Deputy Director, Science City shared his views on the occasion. He encouraged people to donate blood regularly and highlighted the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. He said that blood donation is a valuable contribution to society and helps ensure the availability of blood for patients in need.
The camp was organized with the support of a team of doctors and medical professionals from Civil Hospital, Kapurthala. The medical team ensured that all necessary medical precautions and safety measures were followed during the blood donation process.
