The office of Dean Student Welfare today conducted a soft skill training program for the hostel staff at Boys Hostel No 4, P.U.Chandigarh. The purpose was to enhance their communication, interpersonal skills and professional behavior.

Chandigarh, December 24, 2025: The office of Dean Student Welfare today conducted a soft skill training program for the hostel staff at Boys Hostel No 4, P.U.Chandigarh. The purpose was to enhance their communication, interpersonal skills and professional behavior. The program focused on team work, guest handling, workplace ethics, and effective communication to improve overall service delivery. Employees actively participated in the session, which aimed at strengthening efficiency, discipline, and a positive work environment within the hostel administration.

Prof. Nandita Singh, Former Dean Student Welfare (Women) and an expert for the workshop provided the valuable suggestions of the time management, and being calm while dealing with the students.

Dean Student Welfare Prof. Amit Chauhan asserted that the hostel staff must be sensitive to the needs of the residents.

Dean Student Welfare (Women) Prof. Namita Gupta emphasised that the hostel staff should have empathy towards the residents and the conduct of the staff should be professional.

Associate Dean Student Welfare Prof. Naresh Kumar proposed vote of thanks in the end. Dr. Naveen Kumar, Warden of the Boys Hostel No 4 thanked everyone for the training program. Dr. Indu Sharma Warden, GH-4 and Joint Secretary, PUCSC were also present in the training programme.
