PU organised “Tarang”, an exhibition-cum-sale to support the local voluntary organizations 

Chandigarh, March 30, 2022: The Centre for Social Work, Panjab University, Chandigarh organized “Tarang”, an exhibition-cum-sale to support the local voluntary organizations by giving them a platform to showcase their talent at Student Center, Panjab University, Chandigarh on dated 30th March, 2022. Dr Gaurav Gaur, Chairperson at Centre for Social Work, lead this invigorating event.    The Non-Government Organizations which participated in today’s event experienced the riveting Tarang, a buoyant energy as they enjoyed this platform to create awareness and also sell their products. While sharing the objective of this event, he said that Centre for Social Work acted as a bridge between the NGO’s and the perspective clients, so that they can connect and do networking. It is a platform provided to NGOs to showcase their talent.  He appreciated the students of social work for coordinating and executing this event in a systematic and a planned manner.

The students of Master’s in Social Work collaborated with nine NGO’s-  Chotti Si Asha, Prasanchetas Foundation, Prabh Aasra, Aashiana, Serve Humanity-Serve God, Parivartan, Developing Indigenous Resources, Tammana. This resulted in a vibrant exchange of information, thoughts and ideas. They were full of energy and enthusiasm. Prof. Jagtar Singh, Dean Student Welfare (Men),  and Prof. Meena Sharma, Dean Student Welfare (Women), Prof. Anju Suri, DCDC, Prof. Manvinder Kaur, Prof. Monica M. Singh and faculty from various departments graced the occasion.
