PU inaugurates E-Content Studio at Centre for Distance and Online Education
In a major initiative to strengthen its digital education infrastructure, Panjab University (PU) today inaugurated an E-Content Studio at the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE).
Chandigarh, December 17, 2025: In a major initiative to strengthen its digital education infrastructure, Panjab University (PU) today inaugurated an E-Content Studio at the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE).
PU Vice Chancellor Professor Renu Vig inaugurated the E-Content Studio as the Chief Guest, in the presence of Dean of University Instruction Professor Yojna Rawat, who was the Guest of Honour.
Addressing the gathering, Professor Renu Vig said digital content creation has become central to the future of higher education. She said universities must move beyond conventional classroom teaching and adopt technology-based methods to ensure quality education with wider access and inclusivity. She highlighted the growing relevance of online and distance education and appreciated CDOE’s initiative as a step aligned with national digital education priorities. She further said that such facilities support the objectives of the National Education Policy and contribute towards the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 by strengthening inclusive, technology-driven learning ecosystems.
Professor Yojna Rawat said the initiative reflected PU’s academic vision and its focus on integrating technology with teaching and learning processes.
Earlier, Director, CDOE, Professor Harsh Gandhar welcomed the dignitaries and outlined the objectives of the E-Content Studio. She said the facility would support the development of quality digital learning material for PU’s online, distance and blended programmes.
Faculty members of CDOE, RUSA Coordinator Professor Ganga Ram Chaudhary, Professor Naveen Aggarwal, Coordinator of the Skill Enhancement Course on Artificial Intelligence, and officials from the University Estate Branch were present.
