Chandigarh, December 11, 2022: Department of Hindi, Panjab University celebrates Bhartiye Bhasha Utsav with a unique signature campaign.
Dept of Hindi, Panjab University today celebrated the Bhartiye Bhasha Utsav with a unique signature campaign where visitors were inspired to sign in their mother tongue. The event commemorates the birth anniversary of freedom fighter and great Tamil Poet Subramania Bharti.
Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University also graced the occasion and participated in the signature campaign. Prof. Y.P. Verma, Registrar, Panjab University, Dr. Ali Abbas, Chairperson, Dept of Urdu also participated in the event.
Dr. Gurmeet Singh from Dept of Hindi and Convener of the event shared that the event was a success as more than 250 visitors signed the display board in their mother tongue including Hindi, English, Punjabi, Urdu, Telgu, Kannad, Ladakhi, Marathi, to name a few. He also shared that the students had prepared display boards depicting the portraits of poets from various languages. Along with the Department of Hindi, faculty and students from various other Departments of the University also joined the event and participated in the signature campaign.
