Says iconic heritage institution will continue serving society
Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya’s Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi honoured the students of KMV who accomplished the onerous task of stitching the 40000 masks for the people during the COVID 19 pandemic. Throwing more light on it, Prof Dwivedi averred that KMV is an institution which have always worked for the various social causes prevalent in the society. Given the current pandemic situation it was a call for all of us to contribute as much as possible to the society. Therefore, we at KMV decided to make and stitch masks and supply it to the district administration for free of cost. For that task our students came forward and they along with the faculty members stitched nearly 40000 masks in total. She further maintained that all the students had volunteered to work for free for this noble cause. Most of them had spare bits of cloth which were being used by them to make the cloth masks. Where ever needed KMV also provided cloth free of cost. Moreover, the students also distributed these masks to people in their colonies and villages on their own.
Principal asserted the fact that realising that people in the villages and slums do require the face masks, I have made an appeal to the teachers and students of KMV, to join hands and contribute in the war against coronavirus. We can now say that each of them has put her best in serving the society in these difficult times. Together we will win this battle against the Coronavirus.
