Press Appeal for Mansoor Ansari (C-7814031)

7 year old Masoom Ansari is undergoing treatment at Christian Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana with patient number C-7814031. He is diagnosed severe Aplastic Anaemia. This is a fatal disease of the blood and bone marrow with very encouraging response to treatment. The ideal treatment for him is a bone marrow transplant with a high potential for cure with the bone marrow transplant.

His father is a daily wage laborer who is unable to support his treatment. It is his father’s determination that Masoom also deserves a chance. The family is trying their best to shore up as much finances as possible. Currently he is receiving transfusions of blood products and antibiotics. He has a potential donor identified in his father and will be very beneficial if he could proceed with the treatment. It is our intent to call upon well-wishers to donate for his cause and we are hopeful for the same. We plan to admit him at the earliest once his funds are mobilized.

We have collected upto 70% of his funds and requires a further two lakhs to support his transplant and proceed with the admission. Masoom does not understand the fatal nature of his severe aplastic anaemia and is very cheerful. Masoom believes he is a good soul and his father is a good man and is hopeful that “good things will happen to good people”. The world will be a better place with his innocence. We call upon the good in you to come forward and help him get the chance he deserves.
