Prakhar Jain from Kochi tops JEE Advanced 2023 in Kerala

Prakhar Jain, a student at Elamakara Saraswati Vidyaniketan Public School, has emerged as the top performer in the JEE Advanced 2023 examination in the state of Kerala.

Kochi: Prakhar Jain, a student at Elamakara Saraswati Vidyaniketan Public School, has emerged as the top performer in the JEE Advanced 2023 examination in the state of Kerala. Securing an outstanding 21st rank at the national level, Prakhar achieved an impressive score of 312 out of 360. Originally from Delhi, Prakhar and his family relocated to Kerala two years ago due to his father, Piyush Jain, holding the position of Deputy General Manager at BPCL Kochi Refinery. Prakhar's mother, Dr. Surabhi Jain, and his brother, Pranava Jain, who recently completed his BTech from NIT Trichy, form his support system. Notably, Prakhar had previously achieved a commendable 59th national rank in the JEE Main 2023, scoring an exceptional 290 marks out of 300.

Prakhar Jain expressed his determination to secure admission to IIT Bombay with specialisation in emerging technologies like data analytics and artificial intelligence. To prepare for the JEE Advanced examination, Prakhar dedicated approximately 12 hours each day to his studies and ensured six hours sleep. He received training from FIITJEE Kochi, a renowned institute specializing in entrance exam preparation. Prakhar attributed a significant part of his success to the confidence instilled in him through the model tests and classes conducted by FIITJEE. Remarkably, Prakhar has been associated with FIITJEE since the 8th grade, benefiting from their guidance throughout his academic journey.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Prakhar possesses an impressive range of achievements. He holds a double black belt in karate, showcasing his dedication and discipline. Furthermore, he has proven himself as the district badminton champion and has qualified for prestigious competitions such as the National Chemistry Olympiad and National Mathematics Olympiad. Prakhar has also excelled in the KVPI and NTSE scholarship exams, further highlighting his intellectual capabilities.

Prakhar's journey to success began two years ago when his father, Piyush Jain, was transferred from Mumbai to Kochi BPCL. Despite the challenges that can arise from changing study environments and locations, Prakhar has managed to achieve remarkable accomplishments. This can be attributed to a combination of his unwavering determination and the support he received from exceptional teachers.

Arvind Kant Gupta, the head of FIITJEE Kochi, commends Prakhar's achievements, crediting them to the collaborative effort of outstanding educators and Prakhar's diligent approach. Additionally, Dinto KP, the principal of Elamakara Saraswati Vidyaniketan Public School, emphasizes Prakhar's dedication and hard work, hailing him as a positive role model for students preparing for competitive exams.
