Practo Technologies selected 7 GNDU Students @ 6.47+ LPA; Placements reach 645

Amritsar, April 30, 2015:  Practo Technologies, a multinational company visited Guru Nanak Dev University for campus placements of B.Tech. CSE, B.Tech. ECE and MBA students passing out in June 2015. The company selected 7 students – 5 B.Tech. CSE and 2 MBA students.

Prof.Gurcharan Kaur, Prof. Incharge (Placements) said that the selection process included online aptitude & psychometric test followed by Group Discussion, Technical and HR Interviews.   Around 275 students from Amritsar, Jalandhar, Gurdaspur, Sultanpur Lodhi and Sathiala campuses appeared in the online aptitude and psychometric test.  The MBA students were offered a handsome salary package of Rs. 7.08 lac per annum and B.Tech. students have been offered Rs. 6.47 lac per annum. The new recruits will join with Practo Technologies in June 2015.

Companies like TCS, Capgemini, Amdocs, Tech Mahindra, HCL Technologies, Computer Science Corporation, Thoughtworks, Wipro Technologies, HDFC Bank, Naukri.com and many more have conducted recruitment process for batch 2015 students. The highest package of Rs. 7.08 has been offered by Practo Technologies. Till now 645 students have got jobs in various national and multinational companies.

The department is not only inviting companies for campus placements, but also for training of students. Companies like Huawei Technologies, One Infonet Technologies, BMA Wealth Creators and Ameba Software have selected our students for internship with stipend.

Many more companies have confirmed their visit in near future to recruit the students of GNDU. The demand for the GNDU students by the corporate world itself speaks of the quality infrastructure and facilities available at GNDU, Amritsar and its regional campuses. / (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
