Poetry is the most effective mode of mass-Communication: Dr. Ali Abbas

Chandigarh, February 1, 2023: Poetry is the most effective mode of mass-Communication having an instant impact producing desired results as it is a language of mindand heart, so said Dr. Ali Abbas, Chairperson of the department of Urdu (P.U) here last evening.

In his inaugural address at the Bazm-e-Adab organized in collaboration with the Panjab Urdu Academy, Dr. Ali Abbas Said that poetry had enriched and popularized all language of the world.

Presiding over the event, Dr. Sultan Anjum a popular Urdu poet highlighted the important of Musharia playing an all important role in enriching the legacy of Urdu poetry in India and abroad. “I am fortunate to have a very large association with Urdu department, which is always in the lime light for its Culturo-Literary Activities during the past seven to eight years.” He added.

While reciting their poems noted Urdu poets in Shams Tabrizi and Vijay Akhtar also discussed some important aspects of Urdu poetry with the Students.

Dr. Zareen Fatima, A teacher in the Urdu department and some of the students also recited their poems.
